Un Seder Posible is a reinterpretation of the traditional Haggadah, the book Jews use as a guide during the ritual Passover dinner. It is conceived as an object-book, designed to engage through its design, illustrations, and printing textures. All texts have been revisited and updated from a secular perspective and through a gender-conscious lens.
The publications UN SEDER POSIBLE and UNA CENA POSIBLE gave rise to BALEBUSTE, one of my favorite personal projects.
They emerged from the need to express and share a deeply personal way of experiencing my relationship with Judaism —more cultural than religious— and opened up a space to reinvent the symbols that shape our identity through an object-based and design-driven sensibility.
“The secular world does not oppose faith to disbelief. It does not divide those who believe that God watches over us from those who believe with the same intensity that God is dead or an invention. It is based neither on the conviction that the sky is empty nor on the belief that it is inhabited, but on the defense of a land that is never complete, on the awareness that there is always room for a belief that is not our own. Jewish identity always exists beyond anything that can be said about it and can never be confined by a single definition that limits its possibilities. Put differently: “Judaism” is always broader than “my Judaism.” It preserves a free space for another conception, different from my own, and therefore for an infinite transcendence: the one contained in the definition that another person may give.”

Una Cena Posible is a collaboration with chef Mica Najmanovich, founder and owner of Anafe, who reimagined traditional Passover dishes for a palate seeking new flavors.

Pepi plans a surprise party for Eva, her partner. As a last-ditch attempt to save their relationship, she presents a video with their most memorable moments. Eva talks about the particles that float in our eyes: “Once you’ve seen them, you can never stop seeing them”.

I began filming my younger sister in an attempt to shorten a distance that was inevitable between us. When she was born, I was already a teenager and living 1,500 km away from her home.
I believed our videos could give shape to a relationship that was lacking nourishment. They would serve as a substitute for what should have been everyday moments. We couldn’t share an afternoon snack or a secret before going to sleep, but we could stream those moments, creating an illusion remarkably similar to living together.

A living language is a repertoire of expressions that grows and transforms. Tomoko’s language, a retired Japanese woman on an exchange program in Argentina, is more alive than ever; it absorbs words and gestures in a constant search for communication. It is up to her to open herself to finding another interpretation of her stay, in order to discover the charm of the Western world.

Tomoko is an elderly woman who, after retiring, is sent to Argentina to share Japanese culture. During the first days of her year-long exchange, she seeks refuge in the bubble of her community, preserving her traditions and rituals, but the local landscape presents challenges: few people speak her language, and even fewer share her customs. Tomoko longs for her home and her son, Hikaru, whom she tries to call but always finds asleep. It is up to her to open herself to a new interpretation of her stay and discover the charm of the Western world.
